The Edgecore EAP104 provides a versatile, built-in 4-port Gigabit switch that enables the access point to act as a unified point of access for both wireless and wired devices – IP-based systems such as VoIP phones and IPTV can be directly connected without adding external switches. The EAP104 incorporates Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), and ZigBee, enabling hotel, apartment, dormitory, multi-dwelling unit (MDU), and operators to deploy a single, converged network infrastructure that supports Wi-Fi-enabled devices and IoT endpoints.
When it comes to performance, the EAP104 supports 2×2:2 uplink and downlink MU-MIMO between the AP and multiple clients, with an almost 3Gbps aggregated data rate. The EAP104 can work in a standalone mode or be managed by ecCLOUD, ecCLOUD-VPC, or EWS Gateway-Controller.
