Deliver More Than Just Speed

Edgecore WiFi 6 AP, OFDMA, 11ax OFDMA
OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) enables 11ax networks to maintain a much better performance in high-density environment. The 11ax implementation of OFDMA divides channels into smaller “Resource Units” (RUs) of a predefined number of subcarriers, and then assigns the RUs to multiple client users. This enables an 11ax access point to have complete control of uplink and downlink transmissions to multiple clients simultaneously. OFDMA is highly flexible and can allocate the entire channel to a single client or sub-divide, depending on traffic.
MU-MIMO Edgecore WiFi 6 AP, MU-MIMO, 11ax
Previously only offered in the 5GHz band, only for downlink data, and only in the second-generation implementation of Wi-Fi 5. To further reduce network latency and significantly increase wireless network bandwidth, it has been enhanced in Wi-Fi 6 implement. With 802.11ax, an 8×8 MU-MIMO is now possible, it allows more downlink data to be transferred at once and enables an access point to handle a larger number of concurrent clients.
Edgecore WiFi 6 AP, 1024-QAM, 11ax 1024-QAM
802.11ax radios support 1024-QAM modulation, this modulation scheme used to transmit the data between the access point and the receiving client (two signals 90-degrees out of phase used to send binary bits of information). It enables throughput increases by encoding more data in the same amount of spectrum.
Target Wake Time (TWT) Edgecore WiFi 6 AP, TWT, target wake time, 11ax
To address device power management, the 11ax standard includes a mechanism for extended sleep states that reduces power consumption. An 11ax access point allows clients to request a specific Target-Wakeup Time (TWT) to transmit or receive frames, rather than rely on periodic beacons. This enables client devices to have much longer sleep states without having to wake up to receive beacons, resulting in significant power savings. In addition, the client TWTs can be scheduled and controlled by the access point to both manage contention in the network as well as accommodate delay-sensitive traffic.
Centralized Management by Edgecore ecCLOUD
Edgecore WiFi 6 AP, 11ax, ecCLOUD, centralized AP management
Manage all of your APs from anywhere using the intuitive user interface and enabling intelligent network management. Features such as automatic provisioning aim to reduce initial deployment complexities. Network administrators can also easily monitor devices in distributed sites or branch offices using the integrated map-based view, pushing configuration templates when necessary and collecting network statistics real-time.
